Hugo Reis

Hugo Reis was born in Guimarães – PT in 1986. He got his Master degree in architecture at Escola Superior Artística do Porto in 2009. During this time and motivated by the digital processes and digital fabrication in architecture start his first architecture experience in 2008 at Arquitectos Anónimos in Porto, looking for international experience in Europe in 2010 joins the Berlin studio J. Mayer H.

Two years later in 2012, together with Filipa Frois Almeida, he founded FAHR 021.3, an experimental and creative studio that, through the combination of the disciplines of art and architecture, seeks to rethink and redefines the spaces that surround us.

Since then, the FAHR duo has been awarded nationally and internationally with urban interventions such as Metamorfose or Eclipse in Porto, Nappe and Nook in Taiwan.

As principal architect and creative director at FAHR has also been given some classes at universities in Portugal and Taiwan as Dayeh University – Taichung, Shih Chien University – Taipei, NCTU Gradutate Institute of Architecture – Hsinchu, among others.

Since 2014 he is also part of HODOS project, a collective that aims at the intervention of art and architecture in the landscape.
