策展概念 | 用另一種方式碰觸建築 An Alternative Approach Toward Architecture

交大建築所成立於2000年，設有建築設計、數位設計及學士後三組，獨特的組成使得交大建築所專擅建築數位領域探索創新、當代建築設計理論實踐以及跨領域整合。每年3月期間都會舉行為期一個月的交大建築展，作為每學年度第一學期的全所作品回顧，並以此作為與大眾溝通的平台，而透過故事與展場空間的安排，讓民眾能從更親切的角度來瞭解我們的建築設計。

Established in 2000, the Graduate Institute of Architecture offers three master programs, M.Arch. I, M.Arch. II, and MS, as well as a PhD program, aiming to explore theoretical and practical approaches in digital arena toward innovative and cross-disciplinary design and researches. GIA Project Review is an one month exhibition in March to showcase student and faculty works, and also act as the medium to the public. The curation and production of the exhibition are done by the student body as an experimental practice in spatial arrangement, narratives, and communication.

2017 交大建築展 GIA Project Review 2017

我們以太空漂流指南(SPACE ODD-YSSEY)為題，將建築創作比擬在開放宇宙中的移動，「太空漂流指南」網羅建築所全所設計課的作品，每門 Studio 都是一顆顆獨立星球，此時此刻的建築創作不標榜無懼的英雄冒險，而是專注地看待面對外在條件衝突下，創作者本身的自我掙扎和價值判斷。每件作品都是創作者與未知想像和目標物的來回映射，創作者的意念迥然多樣，相較以往直接的作品呈現，本次展覽企圖以太空敘事使觀者能更了解題目意義和作品背後的價值、創作方法和想像。

The title of the exhibition is Space Odd-yssey, in which architecture design is associated to space travel in terms of the spirit. Student works from 7 studios are exhibited and each studio is an unique planet in the universe. Despite the bravery journey, the exhibition focus on depicting the self-struggling and the value-cnofliction of the authors (designer) under the external constrains and conditions. Every piece of work is the cross-reflection between the authors mind and his/her imagination and goal. This is also the intention of the curator to use the metaphor of space odyssey (and odd-yssey) instead of showing the works in a straight forward manner.

每個展區規劃了不同的觀展方式，參觀者可以在高腳椅上、地面上甚至是游泳圈上觀賞建築作品。與作品接觸的不同方式，以及展場中各個展區的故事串聯，參觀者得以用另一種故事閱讀的方式接觸了解建築設計領域。

展覽相關活動方面，安排了一系列從不同領域看待建築的演講討論，分別從電影、漫畫以及藝術領域邀請講者，談論各個面向中與建築及空間的關係活動地點同樣位於交大藝文空間。
